Don’t panic, it’s easy.

First, review your racecard and choose your horse.

Next, choose your style of betting. You can bet with a bookmaker where you will be offered fixed odds (the likelihood of your horse winning) or place a bet with the Tote, where your money will be added to their country-wide pool and you will receive a proportionate cut if you win.
The ‘longer’ the odds, (where the difference between the first and second numbers is greater, eg 100/1 rather than 7/4) the less chance the bookmakers think the horse has of winning the race – but the more you will take home if it does.
Favourites will have ‘shorter’ odds (where the difference between the first and second numbers is smaller, eg 2/1) and show the bookmakers think the horse has a greater chance of winning the race.

If you like the horse, but are not confident of the win, go ‘each way’. This means you will win if your horse is ‘placed’ (placings vary per race, depending on the number of horses competing - check before you place your bet).

Choose your best viewing position, get ready, and cheer like mad. After the race, collect your winnings (!) and celebrate in style…

We hold six or seven races per fixture, and show live racing action from other courses – so watch carefully, take notes and pick a winner. Good luck!

The Panoramic Bar & Restaurant has one of the finest views of any racecourse. With new caterers Azure, the dining can only be described as superb. We can cater for groups of up to 150, private or networking, all with fantastic views and access to Europe’s premier floodlit racecourse. Cocktails?
Head up to the Panoramic Bar and check out the views over your favourite tipple. This area offers a fantastic vista of the course and is available on most days, subject to demand.  

Something a little more relaxed?

The catering in the Premier Suite (first floor of the Grandstand) is designed for the sophisticated palate at affordable prices. Try our curries, pies or pasta with a cold drink. It’s sure to set you up for the day.

Food on the hoof?
There is a huge range of fast food in the Paddock Enclosure (ground floor of the Grandstand). You can choose from fish and chips, pizza, chargrills, sandwiches or noodles.

Bubbly in style?
Revel in the glamour of the Champagne Bar. Serving the best bubbly and fresh seafood, this venue has easy access to both the Parade Ring and trackside lawns.

Thirsty Work?
All areas have bars serving a wide range of alcoholic and soft drinks. The bars open at the same time as the gates and stay open for one hour after racing in the afternoon. There’s no need to rush off after the last race – stay and enjoy the atmosphere, while celebrating your win! The bars in the Premier Suite open until 11.30pm on all evening fixtures.

It’s not just about racing – we want you to have a memorable experience and aim to keep you entertained long after the horseboxes have departed.

The digibet Bar is the focus of attention after racing on our floodlit evenings, where we host live music, discos and theme nights during the Summer Series.

On Family Days Out we have free indoor kids' activities.

Kempton Park is an informal and welcoming racecourse, and our dress code reflects that. Dress up or down to suit your occasion – jeans and trainers are allowed in all enclosures. However, those in ripped denim, sports shorts and vests will be refused entry. But most of all, dress for the weather!

Gates open for admission two hours before the first race for afternoon Flat and Jump racing, and at 5pm for floodlit evening racing.

Yes. The main car park is free at all fixtures except on weekend and Bank Holidays, Jump fixtures and summer evenings when there is a charge of £5 per vehicle. Alternative parking is available free of charge.

On Boxing Day (26 December) there is a charge of £15 per vehicle in the main car park; again, alternative free parking is available.

Yes. Children under 16 accompanied by an adult are admitted free.

Students showing a valid NUS card are entitled to half-price admission to the Paddock Enclosure on all days.

Senior citizens can join the Diamond Club for just £10, which entitles members to £5 off Paddock/General admission on all days except Boxing Day. Alternatively, senior citizens are entitled to a £3 discount at the gate. Diamond Club discounts are also available at Sandown Park & Epsom Downs. Restrictions apply. Yes. We offer a generous 20% discount for groups of six or more on each race day. We also offer a table for two in the fantastic Panoramic Bar and Restaurant to the organiser of groups of 20 or more. Being so close to London, we’re popular with hen and stag parties wishing to travel into the city after racing. All are welcome.

Yes, we recommend you book in advance – it reduces waiting times at the gate, allows you to take advantage of any special packages tailored for pre-bookers and saves you money.

Bookings can be made up to midday on the day of night fixtures, or 5pm on the day before afternoon racing. Tickets will be dispatched by post for all bookings received up to five days before racing; all others will be available for collection on arrival.

Call 0844 5793008 or go to the Ticket Hot Spot. Telephone bookings incur a single £2.50 charge per transaction. There is no charge for online bookings.

On most daytime fixtures and all night races, your ticket will grant you admission to the Main Grandstand and all its facilities in both the Premier Suite and the Paddock Enclosure. On all other days, your admission will allow you access to one of three areas:

Top notch – The Premier Suite

Located on the first floor of the Main Grandstand.
Access to Bars (including Real Ale) – Bistro-style restaurant - Betfred Betting Shop – Tote betting - Comfy seating.
Outside access: Parade Ring, Betting Ring, Grandstand steppings, seating and Finishing Post lawn area.

Mid price – The Paddock Enclosure

Located on the ground floor of the main Grandstand
Access to Bars - Fast food - Betfred betting shop - Tote betting - digibet.com Sports Bar
Outside access: Parade Ring Betting Ring, Grandstand steppings and trackside lawn.

Low price – The Family Enclosure (available 26/27 December only)

By Road
Kempton Park sits between Sunbury-on-Thames and Hampton Court, on the A308 in south-west Greater London. We are less than a from J1 of the M3 and J12 of the M25.

By Rail
The racecourse boasts its own station, Kempton Park, 200 yards from the Main Entrance. On race days/nights, trains run every half-hour from London Waterloo (journey time 40min). The last train back into London leaves at 11.16pm.
